E.S.P. e-learning

E.S.P. offers e-learning studies on photography. The programme of studies consists of five modules:
Module 1: The technical theory of Photography. This module is designed so as to provide training concerning the use of photographic cameras, the various production techniques and processes of photographic practice. Students develop technical skills through a number of experiments with a range of photographic cameras, B&W films and photographic papers in order to control the technical parameters of photographic equipment.

Module 2: Digital Photography. The aim of this module is to introduce students to the digital practice of photography through relevant software such as Adobe Photoshop. Students examine in detail Adobe Photoshop’s menu and are engaged in practical projects in order to gain experience in the ways of working within contemporary digital art practice.

Module 3: Creative photography.This module demonstrates how photography can be a means of expression. Students are introduced to the creative aspect of the medium undertaking photographic projects concerning the notions of Landscape and Portraiture. Additionally, students are presented with issues concerning the theory and the history of photography in order to develop a deeper understanding of photographic image.

Module 4: Degree Project. Under the guidance of a tutor student develops a self-negotiated project using the photographic medium.

Module 5: Workshop Meetings take place at E.S.P. school including studio photographs with large format camera, B&W film processing and printing.

Duration of e-learning study 10 months

Student must have a photographic camera (digital or analogue), a computer and Internet access. Exercises should be send in digital form (low resolution). Students using analogue cameras should digitize their own photographs. Exercises are obligatory, last for fifteen days and have strict deadlines.
E.S.P. provides all the educational material (books, notes and visual material).
